WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Practice stances, strikes, blocks, and footwork with attention to how the movements connect.
Work on timing, coordination, and applying techniques through coached practice.
Develop your fundamentals, revisit the details, and take on new material as you learn.
UNDERSTAND THE TRAINING
Kenpo connects strikes, blocks, and footwork. Practice focuses on how your balance, distance, and timing influence each movement—and how those movements fit together.
Learn to move with a stable base, change direction, and manage distance. These fundamentals support everything that follows.
Practice individual movements with attention to position, alignment, and control before combining them.
Work on connecting movements smoothly. Learn why a technique is used and how position affects the next action.
Use structured patterns to practice coordination, remember sequences, and refine the details of your technique.
Explore timing, distance, and controlled responses with a partner. Ask the instructor how partner work fits your experience level.
Revisit the basics while learning new material. Progress comes from consistent practice and instructor feedback, rather than a promised belt deadline.
Awareness, boundaries, creating distance, and leaving a situation matter alongside physical practice. Training develops skills; it does not guarantee safety in a real confrontation.
